Vincent Reyes/ Week 3 Homework

Hi everyone! I just made a couple of quick sketches for this class. My general approach for underdrawings is basicaly identifiying some major angles (so no curves, just right lines at the begining)

here's a bit of my initial thought process: major angles, negative space, fast pencil

On this one I though the pencil was gonna show through the marker (silly me...) but it was too late when I realized my mistake. Still, I believe a little bit of my underdrawing shows

Reinterpreting a Roz Chast cartoon

I wanted to give the in-class assignment from week 2 a better try. So here's the original "Waldo's Parents" cartoon from the May 7, 2018 New Yorker magazine, and below it, my new version. I know the perspective on the sidewalks and street is incorrect (I tried 3x...sigh). Any other feedback would be awesome and appreciated. Thanks!

Vincent Reyes/ week 1&2 sketches

Hi! so, I just wanted to share some doodles I did over the exercises we did on class just because really hehe... I don't feel super confortable with showing my drawings, and I think this is a good oportunity to maybe work on that since everybody is so cool!

Week 1: I imagined the buff figure and the "Patric star" shaped as being siblings c:
like big bro and little bro

Week 2: yeah well... self explained hehe

Here’s the strip I asked if I could show you. Let me know what you think. Don’t be shy to tear it to shreds. Thanks in advance.
